1. Please burn more calories than you intake.
2. It's never too late to change your habits and read the
labels.
Follow a low salt, low sugar, no high fructose, non-saturated and no trans fat diet.
3. You don't have to be on a diet if you manage your proper food proportion
and drink water abundantly!
4. Do Not go on a no-carb diet! Reasonable reduced carbs
are OK! Carbs are the engine in your body; just
make sure you burn them off before going to bed.
5. Cardio: this is so important; please make sure you work
your heart on a regular basis! You must get your heart
rate above 140 beats per minute for a minimum of 10
minutes before health benefits start to take place. Make
your goal 30 minutes at least 3 or 4 times a week.
(This is just the minimum requirement.)
Start easy and build up to more.

SKIN & FACIAL CARE
A proven record that my grandmother not only taught me but she used her body as a test subject. She always put lotion of her choice all over her body as soon as she was out of the shower, except for her left arm. Over a 50 year period, she always stayed true to this philosphy. The results showed that due to air pollutants, exposure to chemicals, and other variants, her body stayed moist and youthful looking. Her left arm however, showed significant signs of premature aging, blotches, moles, freckeles, etc and addtional wrinkles.
I adopted this not just in theory, but in reality, that putting this protective layer over your skin does in fact work. Also, as the body dried from the shower, once she applied the lotion, the skin pores would draw in the lotion instead of absorbing negative agents from our environment.

VITAMINS & NUTRITION
Now this subject is important as well. As you know by now. Drinking caffeine excessively, smoking, poor diet, processed foods and other unnatural ingredients can take a toll on your body. At very least, everyone of all ages should be taking a multi-vitaman to help with our not so balanced eating habits of our hustle and bustle world.
For people that are over weight, which is many, I would just like to say this. The new word on the market for dieters, is a product called Hoodia, which is based from a cactus plant in Africa. There are many companies out there that offer this product and it is advisable once again to contact someone is knowledgable about this subject. I have a list and phone number of one such expert in the Seattle area. Since I do not endorse any one product, I would only give this to person's whom I know in person. Just be careful, they all claim that they have the best product.
Oh, By the way, do a colon cleanse prior to starting a new regiment and vitamin routine. This is very important not only will it dramatically increase your well being and success in weight loss, but will also decrease chances of colon cancer. Do this at least every 6 months, for keeping those toxins from building up. Less weight, means less chance of adult-on·set diabetes and other health concerns later on down the road.

Much of what is said on this page are just basic common sense measures that take a few extra minutes to help assist your body in maintaining a well balanced diet, proper amount of cardio, proper sleep, time for your family and time for yourself are all just a small picture of the your whole and healthy outlook.
Thoughts of living longer
Laughing and smiling are just as important as:
- Active living.
- Sleeping well.
- More use of healthy foods. (Don't just eat 3 meals a day, eat 5 meals instead) Breakfast, late morning healthy snack before lunch, eat lunch with proper food proportions (eat half your lunch and take a doggy bag back to work. If hungry later at work? finish the remainder). Then have dinner with family (again, don't eat fast and chew well). Have supper, no later than 8 PM. Should you go to sleep at 10 or 11 PM? Don't eat 2 hours prior to going to bed. If you must have a small proportion desert, please eat it at supper time.
